The National Report of the Republic of Tunisia on Progress Achieved in Implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action after 30 Years:
“The National Report on the Implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action +30 covers achievements over the past five years (2019-2023) in all matters related to the rights of women and girls, the fight against poverty, education, health, the economy, the environment, the media, the fight against violence and armed conflict, and access to decision-making positions. It contributes to providing the latest data and indicators related to gender equality and all forms of women’s empowerment within the goals and objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It also highlights the efforts made by all components, including government structures and national organizations, to develop, implement, and monitor public policies, legislation, laws, and programs to enhance the role of women and girls and empower them in all fields. This allows for the protection of their rights, supports them, and moves them from situations of vulnerability to situations of empowerment and capacity. It also highlights the range of challenges and difficulties faced by the Republic of Tunisia, especially with the health crises the world has witnessed, such as COVID-19 pandemic
