• Training Syrian women refugees in Lebanon
Transforming the issue of equality between women and men to a general societal issue through: inviting civil society activists (women and men) to the League’s workshop, and reaching out to advocates of enlightenment and democracy and political parties to integrate women’s human rights;
Conducting studies and researches to reveal points of discrimination in laws and general policies and to shed light on the reality lived by Syrian women and girls;
Advocacy campaigns to change discriminatory laws and to propose new laws to protect women from violence;
Writing shadow reports and coordinating reports of non-governmental organizations and presenting these to the relevant committees;
Preparing a feminist vision for future Syria via starting the discussion on the new Syrian constitution and working on the founding principles of the constitution7,
An advocacy campaign to the European Union and European Parliament,
Participating in an advocacy campaign to the United Nations general Assembly meeting (2013) and active participation in establishing ‘Syrian women Initiative for Peace and Democracy” (2014),
Participating in the membership of the ‘Women Advisory Board’ and ‘Civil Society Support Room’, which work with the UN Special Envoy to Syria,
Spreading awareness and organizing training on UNSCR 1325 via training a number of women and men activists from different political backgrounds on 1325 and subsequent annexes and resolution,
Organizing meetings and conferences that invite female feminist activists and women from the public.
Starting the work to mainstream gender in the general justice process which should start after the end of the armed conflict; work here has been based on the principle that achieving justice is a tool to build sustainable societal peace
Working with Syrian women refugees in Lebanon: via empowering women refugees in participatory training workshops and transforming them to leaders in the refugee societies; providing health education for refugee women and facilitating their access to available health services; expanding opportunities for participation in events/bodies related to the Syrian cause; and empowering young women refugees with specific opportunities to learn English and computer skills in Gharsah Centre in Bekaa in Lebanon.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
