National Report of the Kingdom of Bahrain on Progress in Implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action after 30 Years:
“Within the framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s international commitments, including the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action issued at the Fourth World Conference on Women, to submit the required periodic reports to monitor progress made on the status of women in all critical areas of concern at all official and civil levels, this report was prepared using a participatory methodology supervised by the Supreme Council for Women, bringing together all relevant national efforts, including representation from ministries, official institutions, private sector institutions, and civil society organizations. These institutions, in turn, gratefully provided all data and information according to the required methodology and mechanism, to convey the reality of progress made in the status of women at all official and civil levels, and the extent of their compliance and commitment to implementing the Beijing Platform for Action, since the submission of the previous report in 2020.
