WHO:
“In 32 cross-sectional studies of women aged 12–75 years, the mean prevalence of mental disorders was 49%, with anxiety being 68%, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) 52%, and depression 43%. Levels of depression were higher in women than in men. Age, educational attainment, and limited access to services were also important risk factors for mental health disorders. Several promising interventions have also emerged.
