The National Report of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria on Progress in Implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action 30 Years Later:
“Algeria has achieved remarkable progress in the advancement of women in the twelve critical areas of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, by adopting a multi-dimensional, intersectoral policy that supports the legal, social, cultural, and economic framework and ensures the real and effective participation of women in the development process through action plans approved by the government. This adopted policy has translated its focus on women through the adoption of strategies, programs, and mechanisms that have enabled the empowerment and advancement of women and girls in various fields and the improvement of their social and material status, with the contribution of institutional structures working to advance their conditions.”
