The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s National Report on Progress in Implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action after 30 Years:
“Jordan based the comprehensive review process of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action +30 on national priorities for the three modernization paths: political, economic, and administrative, in addition to its international commitments. It was guided by the Guidance Note for Comprehensive Reviews at the National Level, and adopted a participatory approach in accordance with the governance model of the Beijing Platform for Action Report. The Cabinet decided to form a higher supervisory committee, represented by the Ministerial Committee for the Empowerment of Women, which was tasked with overseeing the report’s preparation and approval process after its preparation by the Higher Steering Committee, chaired by the Jordanian National Commission for Women, and including representatives from relevant stakeholders from the public and private sectors, civil society, the National Assembly, research centers, and representatives of international organizations operating in Jordan. This was done in cooperation and coordination with the technical teams formed to provide information and data on achievements, challenges, and future plans within the report’s six axes.
The Kingdom of Jordan has achieved remarkable and significant progress. In achieving gender equality and promoting women’s economic and social empowerment
